Genuine BigDog & HUSTLER 48" Cut, Side Discharge Low Lift Bar Blade
Genuine Hustler and BigDog low lift bar blade. Fitted as a production line blade on48" cut side discharge HUSTLER Raptor SD and FlipUp models. Fitted as a servicereplacement blade on many other models listed below where a low lift blade isrequired. Blade Lift refers to the ability of a blade to provide vacuum to liftgrass so that it can be cut uniformly. More blade lift also contributes to removingdebris out of the grass, clearing debris out of the deck and throwing the grassfurther in side discharge mode. In some conditions, more blade lift can result incausing debris to build up under the deck, while in other conditions, the oppositeis true. Blade "Lift" can be measured from the bottom side of the blade to thehighest point of the blade sail. A Low Lift Blade (L) is adequate for shallow decksand most consumer applications and can be used to reduce blowout or deck packing insome conditions. Blade lift for this blade measures 0.79" (20.066 mm).
